With the vision of "Safe Food for All in Life and Health Protection", the Bangladesh Safe Food Authority regularly conducts various public awareness activities. Following this, in order to fulfill the promise of Mujibvarsha, following the hygienic rules of Kovid-19, Safe Food Training-2021 was organized with the initiative of Bangladesh Safe Food Authority for the food workers working in Sylhet Metropolitan Police.Mr. Syed Sarfaraz Hossain, Sylhet District Safe Food Officer, gave an informative PowerPoint presentation on food security, food safety requirements, horrors of unsafe food, causes of food contamination, location in food storage and food preparation, processing and serving, cleanliness and Excluded, safe food Management Practice, Safe Food Act, 2013 Disadvantages and Penalties, Five Keys to Safe Food - Maintaining Clean Hygiene, Separating Raw and Cooked Food, Cooking at Proper Temperature, Storage at Proper Temperature and Using Safe Water and Food Ingredients Sheds light on the details.
Food workers welcomed the organization of such training by the Bangladesh Food Safety Authority and requested for regular training on various topics in the future.
At the end of the training, posters, banners and leaflets related to Safe Food Act-2013 were distributed among the food workers.
